Terms of Service

By creating an account, starting a free trial, or subscribing to Prediction Engine ("we," "us," or "our") at predictionengine.app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Prediction Engine is a sports analytics service. We publish statistical model output for MLB, NBA, and NHL, including game predictions, player projections, live in-game trackers, and historical accuracy reporting. Access is delivered online, immediately, to your signed-in account.

Our output is statistical estimation, not fact. We make no guarantee of accuracy, profitability, or any particular result.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this service, and at least 21 where required by the laws of your jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming that your use of this service is lawful where you live.

Nothing on this service is betting advice, financial advice, or a solicitation to wager. Predictions are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only.

Sports outcomes are uncertain. Past model accuracy does not predict future results. You alone are responsible for any decision you make, and for any money you risk. See our Responsible Gambling page.

Free trial. New accounts receive a 3-day free trial. You are charged $0.00 during the trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged at all.

Pricing. Current plans are $9.99 per week, $15 per month, or $99 per year. Prices may change with advance notice; a change never applies to a billing period you have already paid for.

Automatic renewal. When the trial ends, your subscription begins and renews automatically at the interval you selected until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method on that recurring basis. Charges appear on your statement as PREDICTION ENGINE.

Failed payments. If a charge is declined, Stripe may retry it over the following days. A declined or retried payment does not cancel your subscription and does not pause your access — only a cancellation does that.

Card verification. At signup we may place a temporary $0.50 authorization to confirm the card is valid. It is never captured and is released by your bank, typically within about 7 days. It is not a charge.

How to cancel. Go to Manage Subscription and select Manage Billing, which opens the Stripe customer portal where you can cancel immediately. Cancellation is self-service and available at any time, without contacting us.

When cancellation takes effect. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Cancellation is not retroactive: it does not undo billing periods that have already been charged, and it does not entitle you to a refund of the period you are currently in. You keep access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. All sales are final. Completed billing periods are non-refundable. Because the service is delivered instantly and in full for each period, we do not offer partial or pro-rated refunds for unused time, and we do not refund a period on the basis that you did not log in during it.

If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at [email protected] before disputing the charge with your bank. We will review any billing error promptly and correct genuine mistakes.

Filing a chargeback with your bank instead of cancelling is not a substitute for cancellation and does not end your subscription.

We keep dated records of account creation, subscription status, billing history, and account access. Where a chargeback is filed against a period during which your subscription was active and the service was available to you, we may contest it using those records. Accounts with a chargeback filed against them may have access terminated and may be permanently barred from future subscriptions.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute our predictions or data
• Attempt to reverse-engineer our models or algorithms
• Share your account credentials with others
• Create multiple accounts to obtain repeated free trials
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure

All models, predictions, written content, and site design are our property and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable right to view this content — it does not transfer ownership or grant redistribution rights.

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Predictions depend on third-party data feeds that can be delayed or unavailable. Scheduled maintenance, outages, or missing data for a given day do not constitute a failure of service or grounds for a refund.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any gambling losses, arising from your use of this service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, without prior notice or liability. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a prepaid period.

We may update these terms. Material changes to billing terms take effect on your next renewal, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
